Program of the event is mainly in Finnish but some English tasters are included as well; HelsinkiChallenge finalist team FutuRena science pitch about printed kidneys & organ transplants and researchers´ Pecha Kucha, opening research work and achievements, will be held in English.
The European Researchers´ Night is organized yearly in over 250 cities across Europe. In Finland the event is organized in 14 cities, with Finnish universities, science centre Heureka, Federation of Finnish learned societies and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd being responsible for the program. European Researchers’ Night is financed by the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions. In 2017 Researchers´ Night in Finland takes part on Finland’s centenary celebration year.
In National Science Forum, September 30th, three panels about limits of nature and the human being, freedom of speech, hatred and lie, and significance of science for Finland and Oulu are organized. Joint theme of panels is freedom, celebrating the Finland´s 100-year independence. The panel discussions will be held 11-15.30 PM at Cafe Antell Piha in the city centre. The panel discussions will be held in Finnish.
Researchers´Night and National Science Forum events are open for everyone and free of charge.
